PnP Golf Tip - Your Stance and the Ball Position

PnP Golf Tip - Your Stance and the Ball Position

December 20, 2016

Your Stance and the Ball Position

Having the golf ball properly positioned in your stance can have a major impact on your stroke.

A golf ball positioned too far back of center will cause you to hit down on the ball causing it to pop up in the air with unwanted spin and usually off of your intended line.

We suggest your ball position at a minimum should be in the middle of your stance but preferably the ball will rest somewhere under your heart.

With the golf ball under your heart or slightly forward of center you will strike the putt on the upswing of your arc which will allow the golf ball to roll sooner rather than hop or skid.
